Hello. My name is Erica Lee Schlaikjer.
Welcome to my online portfolio. Here you will find a collection of my articles, essays, podcasts, photos and blogs. I am particularly interested in covering stories about environmental sustainability, social responsibility, emerging entrepreneurs, indigenous culture, global business in local communities, China, travel, urbanism, youth culture and minority issues. I can navigate my way around Wordpress, Drupal, Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark and Garageband, and I love playing with tools like Skitch, Jing and Slideshare. I spent my childhood overseas, climbing the Great Wall in China, eating chocolate in Switzerland, and witnessing the Handover in Hong Kong. I am fluent in English, advanced conversational in Mandarin and wishing I continued to learn French after high school.
If I could design my own job title for the future, it would be "International Social Entrepreneur and Benevolent Media Creator."
